Top seeds Aamir Atlas Khan (Pak) and Mohamed El Shorbagy (Egy) will contest the world junior championship final in Zurich. Both had contrasting semi-finals wins at the Vitis Club. Khan won the all-Pakistani match against Waqar Mehboob 3:0 (9:1, 9:1, 9:6). To big was the gap between the to contenders and Khan managed to stay ahead all the time. Read more »

Nicolas Müller keeps Swiss hopes alive!

As the no. 1 and 2 seeds, Aamir Atlas Khan (Pak) and Mohamed El Shorbagy (Egy) swept their opponents out of the Center Court of Vitis. At no point of the matches Andrew Wagih Shoukry (Egy) and Ivan Yuen (Mas) got time to settle and find their rhythm. Only 36 and 30 minutes were needed to finish their semi-final dreams. Surprisingly the no. four seed Greg Marche was defeated by the 5to8 seed Waqar Mehboob (Pak). The last quarter-final match kept Swiss home hopes Nicolas Mueller (3) alive. Only in the second set Mueller loses control against Adrian Waller from England, before Mueller took the 3:1 victory. Read more »
